http://www.runningskirts.com Bob Stroller Review – Hi its Cindy from Running Skirts dot com I’ve been testing the Bob Ironman Stroller. Some of the things I like best about this jogging stroller are that its light weight and has great maneuverability, its got the locking front wheel so you don’t lose any functionality while you’re running. It also has a long safety harness so you can push the stroller ahead of you, you don’t necessarily have to hold on to it the whole time, and it also has a great high handle bar for taller runners. Its perfect for distance running and training and you can even run up to a full marathon. I personally have used it on training runs on and off road and even raced with it. The Bob Ironman stroller handles the bumps well and maintains a smooth ride through your entire run.Its really easy to secure the baby in the Bob Ironman Stroller, its a tummy harness with two quick snaps and this makes the baby nice and secure. I highly recommend the Bob Ironman Stroller for joggers and serious runners. Its a well made product and perfect for any parent that wants to keep up their fitness by running with their baby. I’d like to actually feel some of these fancy strollers in person to see if they’re worth it and not just rely on reviews… and see the cheaper strollers if they are really as flimsy as some reviewers say.

I know stores like Babies R Us sell the high end strollers but don’t have them in store. Is there any place in Southern California (near Santa Barbara?) where you can go try these out? I’ll also be in the Bay Area and possibly Northern California before too far into this pregnancy so I might be able to make a shopping stop somewhere.

bergstroms childrens store. I shop at the one in Anaheim, it’s a little far from Ventura but they have everything there!

I have and 18 month old and expecting another little one. by the time i have the baby my son will be 2 years old . so im looking for a double stroller that i can put an infant seat on it i was looking at the Combi twin sport stroller which i liked but the review werent that good on it. I need one that will be sturdy easy to maneuver light and that will last long. i can go look at the store but its best getting someones opinion who has one.. Thanks so much!

Omgosh the best Double Strollers when you have a little one that stands and by then he probably wont like sitting as much is the sit n stand. It gives you the option of him sitting of standing up right by you and the infant is in the front. It is amazing. And the infant carrier can snap right on.

I began looking for a double jogging stroller, because my single one is good through tough winters (lots of snow and cold). but these are less expensive and less bulky. I read some reviews, and of course, all are positive.

I have a 2yo and a 7mth old. they are both quite big for their age.
what is the bench seat like, is it comfortable or just a slab?
is it maneuverable and has anyone ever had to endure nasty winters with one?
is there a way to buckle the older child in, or would he be expected to sit still and hold on?

I’m looking for any kind of insight about this kind of stroller, thanks! :)

I had one and I hated it. The bench that the child can either sit or stand on is hard and uncomfortable. It was heavy, bulky and hard to maneuver. It does have a buckle for the older child though. I ended up selling mine and buying a Peg Perego Aria Twin Double stroller for my kids that are 1 year apart. It is very light weight and easy to maneuver. The kids are side by side so you can see what both of them are doing and reach both of them easily.

I have a 23 month old and am due in December. My 2 YO doesn’t really like to sit in her stroller that much, but at the same time it is still totally necessary for zoo trips, mall trips ect. And we go on day/weekend trips a LOT and totally HAVE to have a place for her to sit then too. I have a baby sling that I can/will use. However when the baby is a newborn and it is winter time I am certianly not going to want to take them out of thier nice comfy warm car seat to place them in a sling ect, especially if they are asleep. I am planning on getting the baby trend stroller that the car seat straps into. I was also planning on gettin the Baby Jogger City Mini twin with a buggy board attachment on the back (they now make a car seat adapter for the mini). However I would still like to have an umbrella style for quick trips around town. The baby will be about 4-5 months before it is really warm here and I would be OK taking them out of the car seat and into something where they can just lay/sit. I was considering a sit and stand style however I want an actual seat for my 2 YO not just a bench, and I really hate the way they look. I was considering getting the city mini and then looking for a used Maclaren for when they are bigger. None of the baby stores near where i live has the City Mini for me to preview so I have to go off of reviews and stuff online. Is the city mini light/compact enought to compare to a Maclaren? And suggestions/reviews? I really do not want one of the Graco type doubles that are wider front/back as I have used them before and they are super hard to move around. From what I’ve read the city mini is almost small enough to so through a standard door. you just have to tilt it sort of sideways.
well I already have 3 that we’re/are my 2 year olds. The sinle one that came with the travel system that I hate. A really nice jogger one (but it’s only a single) and then a single maclaren stroller. There are times I will still use the jogger and single maclaren but I also see totally good reasons to have the car seat adapter one, the city mini, and eventually the maclaren double. But my husband is DONE with me buying stollers!

OHH I hear you!! When my son was born we got a Graco travel system and a jogger since my husband likes to run and we thought it’ll be great to take our son out for runs, hikes, etc. Well my son never really liked the jogger :(
And my daughter came when my son was a bit over 2, and just like your daughter he wouldnt sit much in his stroller either, but for longer trips, mall etc we needed one. So I got a Graco tandem stroller- bad idea! The thing was soo heavy, my son was uncomfortable, and I hated it. But my daughter was born in January! so we needed a stroller for the both of them!
Soon we weaned my son out of his stroller and we got an umbrella stroller for trips.

My sister had a baby not too long ago and she opted for the Chicco twin stroller, for her newborn and her toddler. It’s amazing! I wish I had thought of that when my daughter was born!! It’s very light, it’s comfortable for both kids, and it’s compact!!

Good Luck!!

Okay…I know someone has invented a baby stroller fan SOMEWHERE out there. But I can’t seem to find one! I was at the zoo with my 1 year old and I told my fiance I wished we had a fan to hook to the stroller to cool our son off.

Do any of you moms have one? Do you have anything to cool your little one off while outside? I am sure I could just buy a fan that clips on to things. Not sure if it would be "baby" safe though.

They have one at toys r us but it looks cheap and it had a bad review.

Help!

Thanks :)

Here is a discussion forum on them: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1155167

Also just a clip on fan may work:

I am looking for a jogging stroller. I’ve heard one with a locked wheel is best for running. But what about the ones that lock and swivel? I would like one of those. I am currently doing some research and have been looking on joggingstroller.com. One of their representatives told me the stroller I was looking at wasn’t for running since it had a swivel and lock wheel!! But doesn’t the Bob Revolution have a swivel and lock wheel? I’m kinda confused. The Bob Revolution is the stroller I want, but i am currently looking for one that has great reviews for half the price. Any suggestions are appreciated

Baby Trend!! I wanted a jogging stroller and didn’t have a ton of money to spend so I took a leap and bought the Baby Trend Expedition with the front swivel wheel. Best purchase I ever made! We have had it for a year now and use it all the time. We even retired out Graco Quattro because this one is easier to push and can be pushed one handed when the front wheel isn’t locked. This stroller can be jogged with when the front wheel is in the locked position. The other thing I liked about this stroller is I can lock and unlock the front wheel from the handle. I don’t have to bend over and stop walking to do it. This makes it very useful. We bought the baby trend Flex Loc car seat too when our second was born and love that. It fits the stroller perfectly.

I looked at the Kolcraft and I was told they are NOT jogging strollers. I am not sure whether the lady at the store was misinformed or what but I would check on that before purchasing.

You should check out the baby trend because it is worth it. The most basic model is as inexpensive as $98.00! That is a great price. You can also get one as expensive as $160 which has all the bells and whistles (we got this one). It has a headrest which my children love because it is like a big fluffy pillow. It also has a hook up for your ipod which is great for the children. They love listening to "their" music and it keeps them entertained. Greatest purchase we ever made.

I would take the risk and try it. It hasn’t gotten the best of reviews on websites but I know 4 people who have one of these and none of them have had a problem. I will say that after purchasing the seat and using it for 9 months, we did find a tear in the seat (probably from the infant seat and a very rambunctious toddler). We called the company (insured for a year) and they sent us a replacement. Very friendly and quick. Have never had a problem with the people working there.
